TURN AROUND AND ROUND WITHOUT A STOP

Have you heard the slogan “The Wheel has come a full circle”.

This is in particular true of computers and software industry.
I’m sure we all have stories the circle repeating.

Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 CE, have had the navigation on the
top, then changed to left hand side and back to top etc.

Recently I was watching MS Build 2022, Scott Hanselman (I think) asked
a young PM at Microsoft about his knowledge of the history of a product.

I only really thought about his answer in the evening. He said something like
/ he has not really studied the history and more interested in the future /

Initially I thought that was a great answer, but now I have my doubts.
Should we not learn from other people mistakes.

Is that not what all the Greats say.
What are your thoughts?
